Abhyangam (Body Massage)

Pizhichil (Sarvang Dhara)

It is the combination of Snehana (Oleation) and Swedana (sudation) treatment. Lukewarm herbal oils are applied all over the body by Ayuvedic therapists in a special rhythmic movement.  Pizhichil is considered as the most natural way to purify the body system.

 

Benefits

It is very useful for rheumatic diseases, sexual weakness, nervous weakness and helps to arrest the ageing process.

 

 

Shirodhara (Taildhara)

Medicated herbal oil is pouring on the forehead by special method. It rejuvenates and revitalizes the body and mind.

This therapy relives stress and strain related problems, slows the ageing process, improved memory and is known to have a beneficial effect for paralysis and other neurological malfunctions.

 

 

Takradhara

It is type of Shirodhara with medicated buttermilk. It is very effective for problems of insomnia, depression and headache.

 

 

 

 

Shirobasti – Medicated oil retained on forehead in a rounded cap.

Benefits-

This treatment is effective for lack of sleep, facial paralysis, ear, throat and nose problems, headache, etc. It is also useful in neurological and psychiatry problems. The oil is changed after every 3rd Day.

 

 

Navarkhizi

It is a special Keraliya Panchakarma technique in which boluses, made of special variety of Rice (shastikshali) cooked in milk and herbal decoction is used for the massage of the patient.

 

 

 

Benefits-

It found to be beneficial in the disorders of muscles, like muscular dystrophies, atrophies, motor neuron diseases, hemiphlegia and other disorders of the nervous system.

 

Katibasti

In this treatment medicated oil is kept in the round wall area prepared by special method on lower back.

It is specially used in all types of low back pain & sciatica.

 

 

Netra Tarpana

In this treatment medicated oil / ghee is kept in the round wall area on eyeballs.

 

 

 

 

 

Benefits-

It has good nourishing effect on eyes. It removes imbalances as well as fatigue of the eyes and also improves the vision. It is specially indicated in Computer Vision Syndrome.
